At La Forte, we carefully select high-quality fabrics and materials from some of the world’s leading manufacturers.
However, certain materials may be more prone to foil loss, fading, or pilling over time.
When choosing garments with contrasting light and dark colours, please be aware that colour transfer may occur—even when care instructions are properly followed.
Perspiration and deodorants can also contribute to colour transfer and may cause fading.
To help extend the life of your La Forte garments, please refer to the following care instructions:
We Recommend:
- Washing your garment inside out to help preserve colours and prints
- Using a gentle, liquid detergent like wool wash for best results
- Choosing a cold wash on a short cycle to reduce fabric stress
- Drying straight after washing using a tumble dryer on a low or no heat setting
Avoid the Following:
- Soaking, bleaching, or using strong detergents or fabric softeners, which can damage delicate materials
- Ironing, dry cleaning, or line drying, as heat and hanging can affect shape and finish
- Leaving garments in direct sunlight or stored in plastic for long periods, which can cause fading or discolouration
- Applying deodorant or antiperspirant directly onto fabric, which can lead to staining and colour changes
